Saturday, January 18, 2014. Since I haven’t had my “news” in the paper so far this year, ” A Happy and Healthy New Year” to all.
We have sure had some cold weather this past week. The wind has been “bone chilling.” Anyway to me.
I haven’t been out much, have missed going to church several Sundays.
My daughter, Patty Stephens, came down last Sunday and spent the day with me. Also Ann Collins had company last Sunday. Her daughter, Carol and Riley of Mountain Grove.
Ann and I got out on Wednesday and went to the beauty shop for hair cuts then stopped at River’s and visited awhile on our way home.
Yesterday, January 17th was River’s birthday. She had supper with Bertha and Dean Scherer. Also Ann Collins had supper with them.
I had a nice visit one evening by phone with Shirley Chandler of West Plains. She is doing okay.
Get-well wishes to Ronnie Medlock also Don Haney, he had back surgery, but is doing well I heard.
These are January birthdays I missed reporting so here goes: Shelby Hutchison (one of my granddaughters) was the 9th. Also George Owens the 9th, Will Collins was the 3rd, Ashley Collins the 5th, Kathy Haney the 12th, River Stillwood the 17th, Lauryn Snodgrass will be 5 the 22nd, and Doug Fredrick has a birthday the 27th.
Extending sympathy to the ones who recently lost loved ones.
